Coaching Adventures

Introduction

Through my varied athletic background, as an elite track & field star, most valuable player in basketball, provincial rugby champion and competitive paddler in Dragon Boating and outrigger, I have distilled the following insights over a combined 40 years of activity and dedication to movement. I singularly know what it takes to lead and succeed in attaining your fitness, health and wellness goals.

In my opinion, it is pointless trying to create emotional resolve, mental toughness, spiritual awareness and physical strength, sitting still. Thinking or feeling your way out of a box will ultimately not get you out of the box, at least not entirely…

Activity is integrated within my coaching practice for this singular reason. Practicing for your success by psychologically visualizing it first is no different then building important muscle memory before the race begins. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity…

Professional coaching will definitely help you grow personally and professionally, however, coaching integrated with activities will strongly anchor your success in established work ethic and will give you the confidence, will and strength to push through…

I will invite you to change your lifestyle to encourage your full capacity of mind, heart and body. I will do this as an accredited Fitness Leader and Individual Conditioning Instructor (Level II,) as well as a certified Sea Kayak Guide (through SKGABC), Level I. I am wall climbing accredited for belay. I have volunteered and worked with hundreds of individuals of all ages over the years become fit as a past EDUCO Wilderness School counsellor and volunteer at the YMCA-YWCA for a combined 8 years.

I wish to dedicate these services to my deceased step brother, Master Corporal Erin Doyle, PPCLI with the Canadian Forces, who created a Cross-fit workout for Canadian Forces personnel. May your dedication to work, service and bravery never be forgotten. May your leadership and inspiration guide.
